| Important
information for Telephone, Fax, Mail and Email sales/marketing people. |
| |
|
|
Marketing
and sales people are now regulated
as to who they can contact in the
normal course of business. This is
to allow companies and businesses,
particularly the small to medium
(SME) businesses, to eliminate the
considerably costly wastage of time
in attending to enquiries from suppliers
on a constant basis when they have
no need for the services.
If these regulations are breached
then the supplier runs the risk of
action being taken against them and
having their facilities removed by
the authorities. Breaches of the
regulations are reported to the appropriate
authorities by people receiving the
calls, faxes, post or email. |

Emailing
is now permission-based and a company
needs permission to send email to
prospects otherwise it's breaking
the law under the Privacy and Electronic
Communications (EC Directive) Regulations
2003. The Information Commissioner's
Office at www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk oversees
the regulations. See BBC reported Spam
Email case reference at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/jersey/4562726.stm or

Also, please review the CAN-SPAM
act of 2003, details of which can
be found on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN-SPAM_Act_of_2003 |
